M-Seva will collect the following personal information from the user: Contact Information – such as name, email address and phone number. Additionally, as applies to most web-based systems, we gather anonymous, aggregate information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) Address, Browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), Operating System, Date/Time Stamp and Clickstream data. M-Seva will use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyse trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We do not link this automatically-collected data to any personal information. We will use the information we collect to: Respond to customer service requests. Comply with Local and international standards in our service industry. Respond to users’ questions and concerns. Improve our web-based system and marketing efforts. Log Files

M-Seva follows standard procedures for using log files. These files log visitors when they visit our website, including internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. This information is used for analysing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Technologies such as cookies, beacons, tags and scripts are used by M-Seva our affiliates and analytics. These technologies are used in analysing trends, administering the site, tracking your use of M-Seva website and to gather demographic information about your base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the utilisation of these technologies by these companies on an individual as well as aggregated basis. We may use sessions and cookies for saving authentication values and saving referral information. You can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level. If you reject cookies, you may still use our site, but your ability to use some features or areas of our site may be limited.

By accepting the User Agreement, you agree to receive these messages. As a member, you can opt out of receiving commercial messages by following the ‘unsubscribe’ link found in each communication. Please note that we reserve the right to send you service-related communications, including service announcements and administrative messages, relating either to your account or transactions, without offering you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving them unless you close your account.

Security

The security of your personal information is important to us. We have put in place Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and encryption technology to protect your sensitive information transmitted on our websites. When we collect personal information directly from you, we will follow accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission. We also require a username and password from you each time you want to access your information on our website, and a PIN-based authorization, when using the USSD platform on your mobile phone. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes to our information practices. If we make any material changes, we will notify you by email (sent to the e-mail address specified during registration), and prompts to your mobile phone as is registered on our system, or with the help of a notice on the website before any changes being effectuated.

If your personal information changes, or if you wish to discontinue the use of our service, you may correct, delete, update, amend or request to deactivate your account by effectuating changes in your accounts settings page and by emailing our customer support at support@mseva.co.ke or by contacting us by telephone or postal mail at the contact information provided on the website. We will respond to your request within ten business days. We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our service. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
